Amazing family run restaurant with great food and a great vibe. The owner is the waiter and gives very good recommendations on the menu. The pate was incredible as well as the desserts. Loved the experience dining here. Everything was very reasonably priced.

Fantastic service, delicious food! The restaurant is truly a hidden gem, newly opened over a year ago. The interiors are cozy and tasteful. Amazing value for money, huge portions, perfect for a romantic date night. It’s owned by 2 couples who are very involved in the whole process, every little detail seemed cared for and looked after. We went back two nights in a row.Highly highly recommend

From the start of the deer pate to the desserts, my friends and I were very pleased with the food here. You can taste each ingredient, the flavors just melt in your mouth, and the proportions are perfect. The sausage and sauerkraut were delicious. The bread with pate was very soft and slightly sweet, the perfect combination with the pate. The waiter was also very sweet and attentive, topping of the experience. If I return here, I’m definitely making a stop here again!!

An absolutely amazing find! Tucked a bit away from the tourist crowds, this place has such a warm, genuine vibe. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, really took time to explain the menu and make sure everything was perfect. We had the jota, venison goulash and pork neck with grilled veggies and potatoes and then a delicious sour cherry strudel for desert. Every dish was absolutely beautifully done. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a while and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better.

As we continued our quest to eat where the locals eat, we came across this traditional Slovenian restaurant. The owners are a husband and wife team along with their business partner. There are some places where I would strongly suggest you go there and try out some local specialties. The host was very friendly. Patiently explained all their different specialties. We had so many questions as we wanted to try so many things! We settled for their pate made with their special local pigs. The veal ribs were succulent and tender. The pork knuckle was divine! We will have to come back to try the other dishes.

we had a wonderful dinner. the owner and his wife cared for all. they were so freindly. the main dish was very tasty. we had the shared meat menu and it was excelent. we highly recommend

This place was recommended by my Slovenian host. It’s away from the old town’s busy touristic area. This is a family business. A man and his wife cook everything. I had zucchini carpaccio. As simple as this dish was, as tasteful and enjoyable it was indeed! Now, they recommended to try their veal ribs with potatoes. This dish was extraordinary! I have never tasted in my entire life something like that! The meat was so tender and full of flavor. It melted in my mouth. They even let me eat my dish in the actual cooking pan! This made the experience very authentic too! The restaurant is very quiet and calm. The owners were such a delight to encounter and had a nice chat with them. Even the prices are reasonable for the generous portions and outstanding taste! Highly recommended!
